DVD while moving?

Is there a way to defeat the DVD blocking when the parking brake is released on a manual transmission 2014 mustang?

I've seen the Lockpick ......but wonder if it's really required. I don't want to install cameras and I can set destinations with voice commands. The only change I'm really looking for is the ability to play a DVD while the car is in motion.

Anyone done this?

I think not sure. The brake wire to the ground.

It should be the same way as when you install an aftermarket stereo, you have to ground the wire to the chassis instead of the parking brake ground. the parking brake ground should be red with a yellow stripe, if i remember correctly, or at least it was on my 2006. just take it off and ground it to the chassis where the radio screws into place

In most states having a DVD (moving pictures) on your dash while driving is illegal. That being said, on my 12 Jeep the nav buttons lock out after three presses when moving. That means the passenger, my wife, can't use the system and she's the navigator to my pilot, so I got a lockpick for it. To me it wasn't worth trying to figure out the wiring under the dash of these computerized cars that we all drive now, and I've done all sorts of retrofit electrical work on older cars.

Every once in a while though, the system gets a bug and plays the reverse camera while I'm driving- very distracting.

I had a pioneer 4300dvd in my last car (crown vic), and I bought a small adapter off of ebay. Some head units require multiple steps (such as stepping on the brake twice and lifting the e-brake). An adapter like this may be what you need. Good luck!
