Installed Avic x940bt+Back up camera 06 gt conv

Hi All I installed a Pioneer x940bt, using a scosche fdsr harness, scosche dash install kit, and a Koolertron bu camera. I also installed a pac wri-p remote hookup, and a pioneer cd-r510 remote, if you have steering wheel controls add a pac swi intyerface to retain usage. I am extremely happy with the x940bt, as it has a volume knob, if you don't care about the knob, you can get a z140bt, which is a larger screen, and HD radio. The sound with oem speakers is 1000% improved, and the ipod control, dvd/cd/usb/and sd card functions are 1st rate. One caveat about the new z140, and the x940, the voice recognition does not work with the nav controls, just the av and bt functions. The older pioneer units up to the x930, and z130's do have voice recognition that does carry over to the nav system.
Also be sure to read the following thread as it is invaluable to getting the unit installed properly, and read up on the bypass, super easy to do.

I will try to post some picts of the results. I am sorry I do not have a pict of the backup camera, but it is a license plate frame type from koolertron. It has aspect lines and a nice wide view.

4, Nav antenna attached to underside of brace underside of dashpad pass side over glovebox.
5, Radio running playing music on flashdrive.
6, Microphone for bluetooth on dash under pad next to instruments
Good Luck--SEMPER FI

I have the same in my 2011. Extremely happy with the unit. Did you get the brake override so you can play DVDs while driving?

Hi, yes I did the bypass. Also installed the resistor inline of the amp turn on , to stop the popping noise when turning off unit. The sound with the stock speakers is 10000% improved. More clarity, range and adjustability, but a bit disappointed that they did away with the voice recognition for nav destination input. They had it in the previous models.
Luck--Jack
