05 mustang bass speakers

so I have a 05 mustang v6 and I love it but the bass isn't very impressive at all. I have the shaker 500 system I believe and I was looking at some nice trunk speakers that would make my entire sound system better. I don't know if it effects anything but I do have a internal GPS system that my radio and ipod music works through. I was looking to spend between $150-$200. Amazon.com: Dual BP1204 12-Inch 1100-Watt Illumination Bandpass Subwoofer: Car Electronics#
Amazon.com: XXX Car Audio Pair 12" Subs/Car Amp Kit/Sub Box: Electronics these where the two speakers I was looking at and if anyone could give some helpful advice or insight that would be great. thanks

Many people think that the larger the sub the better the sound, but what you need to do is measure the interior space of your car to determine the optimal harmonics. If the longest distance is, say, 8', you should have a speaker and box tuned to that size. Otherwise the sound wave curve might be too long for your interior. This is especially important in ported/bandpass boxes. In my Escape, I have 2 8" subs tuned to 10' wave and it's plenty of bass. For my Mustang, since it's a convertible, wave length had less impact, so I had to do things differently and built a sub box into a rear-seat delete. 2 6" JL Audio. A tuned box will get more out of an 8" sub than an un-tuned 12".
