2005 Mustang Shaker 1000 Headunit replacement help.

Hi all, I have a 2005 Mustang gt with the Shaker 1000 installed. I want to switch out the headunit with one that has Bluetooth installed. I was wondering if with the Amazon.com: Metra 70-5521 Radio Wiring Harness for Ford 03-Up Amp: Car Electronics if this headunit would work just fine with the factory shaker 1000 system Boss BV9563B Double DIN 7" Touchscreen Bluetooth Car DVD USB SD Player Receiver | eBay . Thanks in advance for any help.

It will work but it doesn't have the J3 plug if you should need that. Otherwise, yes. Your picture from Metra is for the J1 and J4 plugs. Some radio heads need the 5volt reducer to work the J4 plug and not have a loud popping sound when you turn on the ignition. You can look up on this site about the Shaker heads popping in the forums. RadioShack has the reducer for 2-3 bucks or so. It is number 7805 in their catalog. You just solder it into the wiring plug (J4 small plug in your picture).

Ford Lincoln Mazda Mercury Radio Replacement Interface Adapter Wiring Harness | eBay

This has the Pac connector also for the J3 incase you go with steering wheel controls later and other items. Good luck with your project
