2011 & 2012 (probably more) 12v switched source
So i recently reconfigured my amp install to get rid of a line out converter that was also providing my acc on for my amp. Had a heck of a time figuring out a good, non harness cutting way to get 12v switched power to my amp.
I have confirmed that spare fuse 37 is a switched 12v source, and that an "add a circuit" for mini-fuses will let you grab it without cutting into any additional harnesses. Also, based on my circuit tester, it appeared that the side towards the engine of the fuse holder is the live side, so that should be the side that the 'live' blade of the add a circuit should be connected to.
Then just pop up the panels and run your line to where you're installing you're amp and Boom! it'll turn on with the car, and then shut off when the car powers down after being turned off.
Hope this helps someone looking doing an amp install or who just needs some 12v Acc source.
NB* if you're doing the installation on any s197 and the manual says that it is a 10A "not used (spare)" you're probably golden, but it's worth the 5$ to have a circuit tester.
