Messin with my base GT doors...again

Just finished this morning. I've settled on the ID XS-65 mid bass drivers but they really need good support or they pound around sounding like crap. Thought about going with salvaged shaker doors but after I sealed and deadend the inner structure...there would be no room for that plastic "sound chamber"

Bit of MDF, bit of black vinyl, made use of my Uncles wood working tools. I like how it turned out...something different

Sounds amazing...I spent time researching, trial and error, hanging around car audio forums and getting a little bit more educated and I'm finally impressed with my audio (for now...har). Amazing what a set of quality components (no rear speakers), a good head unit and an 8" ported sub can do...also a couple Alpine amps

^^ that's good percy, nice to see u modding audio as well- mostly I see u exterior, power, rims/ tires etc but not too much in terms of audio.

oh also I remember a while back you put the leather and padding ( Roush) on the seats- I think it was you, anyway how's the leather? Did the wrinkles come out? and how's everything holding up i.e. padding foam

I've been tinkering with the audio set up for a couple years and things were...ok, but always felt something was lacking. But the sound system is 100x's improved now and only getting better. I just had to use the K.I.S.S method and stop trying to jam more speakers in the car...simple active 2-way + sub set up.

So far I'm still really happy with the Roush interior, the extra side bolstering makes a big difference. The leather is getting better since it has finally warmed up! But I still may try to get a little more stretched out one of the days.
