Mach 460 - Replace Speakers or Overhaul?

Hi guys. Just wondering if it would be worth it to replace my stock Mach speakers. I really do love the way they sound, but the bass is horrible so I'm pretty sure they're all blown. I can't even have the bass up to the halfway notch without distortion at medium volume.

My question is - would it be worth it to replace the Mach subs in the rear deck and the doors? Or (because I know the Mach system is a [naughty word], should I start over with a new headunit and speakers and go that route?

Just looking for honest opinions at this point. If newer Mach speakers will let me crank the bass again I'd go that route and find a set on ebay.

Thanks,
Zach

Distortion in the bass is often a problem with stock headunits and amps, although it's hard to tell exactly without hearing it for myself. I would personally replace the whole system, everything from the headunit, to the amps, and to the speakers. You'll be able to customize it exactly how you want it, and upgrade it if you want more and better sound.

I don't imagine anyone would release a vehicle from the factory with speakers that can't have the bass turned up pass the halfway mark before distorting though. May still try Ebay for a cheap set of factorys while I save up for a whole system.
