Angry 03 mustang gt stero swap??

I have the 2003 mustang gt with the mach 460 stereo. I just recently bought a Sony stereo and took apart the dash to replace it with the original. After buying the dash kit, I realized that the wires that were connected to the original stereo were all there, but there were also some extra wires that I had no clue about. I looked at a diagram of the wires and their purpose, but that still didn't help me when it comes to connecting them to my new stereo. I was told that if I wired anything wrong that I could blow the whole system. Any tips? Has anyone done this switch themselves before?

Mach 460 2003 requires Metra harness 70-5519.
The black plug provides high level signal for the tweeters and to the amps for the mids. The white plug (smaller) has 2 rca male ends that go to the sub out low level on the radio. The blue/white wires will go the a 5 volt remote turn on signal from the radio. You can build your own voltage divider using 2 resistors. One resistor about 500 ohms, and the other about 600 ohms. You want to grab your power from the 500 ohm resistor (5v).

You need the proper wiring harness along with your dash kit, and saying "blow the whole system" is a little irrational!
