2012 base V6 with GT500 wheel and 2013 stereo.... no steering wheel controls

Hi guys

i have a Canadian 2012 V6 Pony Package with base interior, base audio and the ugly plastic wheel with only cruise controls. I upgraded to the GT500 steering wheel some time ago and was hoping to have the stereo control working on that wheel. I know i can have the Audio Control Unit reprogrammed to use the steering control, but not all dealers agree to do this. So i found an a CD unit from a 2013, as they all come with steering wheel controls, and installed in my car. But that does not work, just works like the original radio. I have read in the forums of some people doing that kind of swap and it worked.

Need help please.... toughts?

Looks like the audio control module needs to be reprogrammed
