New Door Speakers

Got the Infinity 6832's installed in the doors of my 2014. Had to order the brackets, watched a couple of videos on youtube. Install was easy pasey.

Sounds much better and clearer !!!

Some Tips:
You will need screws to install the speakers in the brackets.

In the videos you'll seem them using a small screw driver to "pop" out trim pieces - cover the blade of the screwdriver w/ electrical tape (no scratches)

You can assemble and install: the foam on the back side of the speaker, the speaker in the bracket and then the harness inside, then take the assembly out to the garage. This is helpful to those of us that live in the hotter climates.

Great Post Chris!.....Any upgrade to even the Premium System's Door Speakers is like Night and Day!.....This is the 1 Mod. that I have to do myself, as those single coil 5"X7"'s (or whatever size they are) OEM units are just horrible!....Question Chris..Did the Infinity 6832's come with the Factory "Plug 'n Play" adapter, or was no power adapter needed?...

Sean.

The OEM are crap. I replaced all four with Infinities, amped them all and added a Clarion EQ and couldn't be happier. Good luck on the rest of your install.

If you are upgrading the 'base' system, I'm told you do not need the speaker brackets.

Part of the upgrade to the premium package is that Ford puts a $3 dollar speaker in as opposed to the $2 dollar speaker in the base.

The infinity's do not come with an adapter, or screws or speaker wire for that matter. This was news to me as I had used infinity's in my Acura and all the hardware was included. I bought the Metra adapter.

Next weekend the rear's will be changed to 6832's (but I getting help with those). There is a video that shows someone replacing their rear deck speakers and reversing the plastic grommets for the screws. That way if you ever want to change them again, you can work bottom up as opposed to the top down.

Also I plan to install baffles on the rears (forcing the sound into the car), and tap the leads in case I want to install a small powered sub in the trunk (used for speaker level inputs on a Bazooka or Basslink).
