Any Suggestions? Audio Upgrade

So I currently have a 2004 Mustang GT with the 'Mach' audio system installed. I am an amateur at audio installations but have been an electronics technician for the past 7 years. I used to have a 2005 mustang GT with amp and 2 10' subs hooked up to an aftermarket head unit. Would it be possible to install the amp and subs into the already installed stock head unit?

I think so..
a friend of mine has a new honda civic. He bought some audio adapter that gets wired into the front speakers from behind the head unit.
This adapter has RCA slots on it so you can run an RCA wires back to amps. Once a set of RCA's are in the back, you can use an adapter on the rca cables. rca female to dual males. (would need 2 of them) Then you could plug RCA cables to both amps from the stock unit.

After that. normal stuff like power, ground, remote to both amps. then speaker wire to subs or speakers.

This would make sense to me. I have never done it though so no promises it will work.

for the mach system it is possible but requires a specific wiring adaptor to go from the headunit out to RCAs similar to what was described above. The adaptor usually costs around $150 I believe making it make more sense to get a decent aftermarket headunit and just hook up the subs as normal.
