Arrow 2011 V6 Speaker install - Adapter?

Hi everybody,
I'm looking to replace the stock speakers with some Alpine 6.5" components.. I understand that I'll need an adapter, but I just want some input from someone who has done this..
I've read that they'll ft but I want to be 100% sure..
Also, I know the factory speakers are 6x8's but every adapter I see out there for something like this is a plate designed to fit a 5.25" or 6.5" speaker with a seperate tweeter into a 6x9 hole.. Here's a link, can anyone verify that they've done this and it will work? Or should I just go with some 5.25"s?

Metra 82-6901 (met-826901) 5-1/4" or 6-1/2" Speaker to 6" x 9"

IMHO, I would speak directly with Crutchfield...they have excellent install kits and their tech support is excellent.

That's the problem, I already bought the speakers about a month ago, and thought I bought 5.25"s but i bought 6.5's.. And I'm sure Crutchfield won't help me because I don't buy from them.. You can find equipment they sell elsewhere for half price.

I think for the 2011 and 2012, you do not need the door speaker adapter.
