Basic use of VOM (volt) meter and Ohm Meter

Also some basic formulas:

Volts = amps x Resistance E =I x R
volts = E ( volts)
I = Current ( amps)
R = resistance in ohms

Watts = amps x volts
Power in watts = W
I = amps
V = Volts
