Best front Brakepads for 07 S197

Hi guys,
I wonder what front brake pads you are using on the standard S197 GT Brakes.

My brakes are always slipping once I preload around 1800 to 2000rpm at the tree (automatic tranny). I replaced disk and pads (ceramic) already, but still have the same problem... its just annoying.

OEM Motorcraft brake pads. But, we all know we don't drive the mustangs like normal cars, so, good recommendation would be to look at some Hawk pads, like the HPS Street Performance pads. Much better than OEM for stopping.

Thanks for you quick reply!

My biggest problem is the performance of the “cold” brakes at the tree, not realy stopping/braking down.
So I wonder which compound would do the trick? Was thinking of a carbon mixture pad? Any suggestion?

the best pads are oem from Ford.

when you are at the line.......brake torque barely over idle then floor to go.

when you brake torque high......you are causing waisted energy.

the back is gonna rise then you slam the rear end back down on launch.

you will flash the converter harder going off idle.

trust me on this one. I actually got better launches on this method.

93' LX hatch, 460 w/150 plate, TH400, 9" w/ 3.60 spool. Best (so far!) of [email protected] 146 mph with 1.40 spinning 60' on steel heads
Reese,
Been saying single digit coming for 3 years.....guess I finally made it!
