Have not had my 92LX at the track yet,they are in the process of building a new track right now.Im using my buddy's G-TECH right now, here's what i have come up with so far.
Bone stock 5.0 5 speed with a 180 thermostat,new wires,new plugs,new fuel filter and cap and rotor, 273 gears Best time 15.16 @ 96.8mph
Then i started to modify.
1.)My own made up ram air with a flat type K&N air filter 14.90 @ 98.8mph
2.)Then 355 gears,Hoosier D tires 27.5x8.0 from my buddy's super stock car(they were free) Put them on a set of 10 hole rims, Timing set at 14 degrees 14.36 @100.8 mph.
3.)Removed front sway bar,removed A/C,Removed smog pump(delete kit) 13.99 102.5 mph.The day was as close to the day i ran the 14.36.
4.)Now i have added mechanical pillar gauges oil & temp and a 5 inch Tach
with shift light and Mac 1 5/8 equal length headers,2.5 inch BBK H-pipe,2.5 inch flo tubes with 2.5 ultra flo Dynomax Mufflers dumped at the axle for now.I have not made a pass since putting this other stuff on.
5.)Other parts that i already have but have not put on yet are Kenny Brown full length weld on subframe connectors and a Pro 5.0 shifter.
6.)I have one more part to buy for this year and that's it?
I can't decide which "Nitrous system" to buy and im starting to wonder if the factory clutch will take all that im throwing at it.The car has 110,000 kms on it that's about 65,000 miles and the clutch was just done 10,000 miles ago.
I will update on my progress,oh and my elevation here is 750 ft above sea level.
