You forgot to mention the part about you being so excited that you mashed the transbrake button and destroyed the bracket because of the adrenaline.....

well.......Team Reese is getting ready for its first actual competition weekend. Entering NMRA @ Joliet Rt. 66 next weekend. Hoping to get my name in somekind of small print in Race Pages or MM&FF.

I wanna be like the Shine's!!! Read about me somewhere.

I've been prepping the car little by little because of time restraints but by next weekend I will be finish.

Not too many boat anchors these days so that should count for something.:hihi: I will be entering Open Comp. class. The car has been pretty consistant these past 4 years so I should be good. It's a matter of me competting for Rt's. These guys don't play!

1/2 of valve adjustment done (if that make's sense). I will do the other side tomorrow. I have gone over the car to make sure I have all my safety requirements done. Checking for loose bolts (valve cover, header bolts) they have come loose on me before. Even when I just pulled the valve cover off for the adjustment I had a couple loose. Just one of those things.......

Good luck Reese. The took the only NMRA even we had here and moved it to Atlanta, so I haven't payed any attention to NMRA this year.

With me not working weekends anymore. The thought jumps in my head again about trying to make it out there.

Yea it sure did, but look who's talking Zombie Man!!!!!:hihi:

Not many people on here now to shoot the **** with!

Anyone on here with some end of year ideas that "may" make them faster? I have two but only one is going to happen before season ends. I need a new converter and have just locked the distributor. I will be timing it today and then plan on getting to the track to see what difference it makes.

Everyone that knows me, know I'm on that quest for a 9 sec. pass for the last two years now. Without spending a boat load of money, it has not happened yet but I'm still trying to get there. Might I add that this quest is under factory heads and no power adders. I was very close to getting juiced up but changed my mind towards the end.

I still have some time......so long as I don't see a time slip from a damn V6 saying 9 something!!:laughlitt:laughlitt
