Going in deep Friday night

I'm getting out of work early so I will be making the trip to Island for tonights trophy run. I want to get some seat time and will be testing the waters on how my car leaves deep. I loaded a new tune and hopefully can do better than last seasons .070 lights.

Wink Doen goes kazman, down goes kazman.

I did not want to race another Allmustang Forum member in the brackets as one will have to lose. But he mentioned the Susquehanna Hat Company; slowly I turned step by step, inch by inch...

I'm old bone bone stock 2009 GT with bent rims and a duct taped bumper.

I shallow staged and had to look for third

If you look at the slip and do the math the car on the right actually won. The computer error was acknowledged and corrected at the payout (trophy) window. That time slip with my 3 other wins gave me a bigie trophy. Melissa was willing to trade the trophy for a nice bigie hamberger. Hey, I was hungry. :kooky:I had a a great time.

That time slip doesn't make sense; if the glove does not fit you must acquit and the victory goes to the car the arrow is pointing at.

You gave me some good advice about how to bracket race thank you. I also know exactly what DOT drag radials I'm going to get.

Will the history of the world think I'm a cheater?

If I deep stage, sandbag and get a cheeseburger does that make me a bad person?

I have learned much.

Let me set the record straight. I couldn't sandbag (computer generated dial-ins using the quickest run) and won a hamberger not cheeseberger. :p

All kidding aside (for a second) It was really nice to meet you at the track. Everyone there was great and I did have a good time. My posi clutch pack is starting to show some wear after 500+ passes. Pony didn't like Island's hard right turn into the water box. The slipping on the drivers side did cause me to run about .04-.05 slower than my locked in time. If allowed I would of dialed up at least .07. I need to do my civil duty and warn you. I started out exactly where you are now with the adiction. Enjoy the learing experience. You might like to check out Raceways schedule for Saturday trophy marathons and Numidia has a Friday night stick shift class.

You might as well save your breath. You see someone heading down the road to racing addiction and try to warn them, but I think it's already too late in this case.

Sounds to me like Earl's already got a bad racing jones.

I'm not saying you were sandbagging. I was thinking of doing it for the last "Trophy Madness" this Friday. I am very inconsistent and usually get a dial in run that is .2 faster than I usually go. I can just take my time finding third on the dial in runs.

I think deep staging just might be enough though.

The track photographer liked your car he is selling prints for big bucks. 4 pictures of your car 2 of mine. Shouldn't we get a molding fee or at least a burger?

That is the last time you will ever see my Mustang staged deep. Might be the last time it's staged straight on the starting line.
