What is the difference between 91 and 93 fuel?

So as my question ask what is the difference between 91 and 93 and will 93 make my mustang eco boost perform better over the 91 I been using?

The difference is two octane points. Detergents and additives are brand dependant.

All I have in my area is 93, when my wife and travel north all that is available is 91. I can't tell a difference with my butt dyno.

Define "perform better".

Ford uses 93 to achieve the highest HP rating. Yet uses 87 octane without 10% ethanol for maximum fuel economy ratings.

Cost, availability, peak HP -vs fuel economy, stock vs modified, all play a factor in what you want or need to stick in the gas tank.

I don't think you will feel any change in power, economy or handling going from 91 to 93. But your wallet will feel the difference.

Last time we went north there was a Citgo station with a sign stating they had 93 it was less expensive by a couple of pennies than the station across the street that had 91.

so nothing is different between 91 premium and 93 premium? Only asking because I know some stations around me have 93 but not all have it so I use 91.

If you get the same power by the butt dyno, you don't get any detonation on 91and 91 is cheaper go with 91.

Depends on if you're planning on tuning for it, otherwise it might be negligible fuel economy difference
