I've seen the KR 2 ways, one with pin stripes on the perimeter of the stripes, and one without. The original show car had no pin stripes. In both cases, the twin stripes are very similar to those on most GT500's and thousands of other Mustangs.

What makes the GT500's, KR's and Supersnakes (just occured to me that the Supersnakes are seperate from the KR models, and may be different, I will check) look so different from a standard mustang is of course the distinctive hood.

I like the twin-stripe look on all S-197 Mustangs, in both versions.

I would've tried to do this myself for you, I had a full day with 2 full classes and working on a 15 page term paper.

Lost

Talkin' about me?

LOL, not lost just BUSY!

I'll do the swap on the hood (GTS for the GT500, right?).

I have always preferred the GTS look, in general.

Clearance under the GT500 hood is bigger, though.

Might take me a few days to get to this - got an art show this weekend, be back in the saddle Monday afternoon.

Later.

On the left is the original and on the right is the new hood.

The pros leave it to the rookie to do the hard one I see...

Hey tripleblack not sure that you have time or would do this but i am looking for someone who can do the two tone like you did silver and torch red but redfire metallic on bottom and pearl white on the top. I have the paint but am starting to get cold feet cause i dont know for sure that i will like it and as my car is my baby i dont what to do it and not like it. any help would be greatly appreciated. mine is the same car as the half silver torch red one you did.
