proud new owner of a 2008 GT 500

Just wanted to say hello.. I just traded my 2009 Challenger R/T for a 2008 Black GT 500 (black) with about 10500 miles. Came with the C&L CAI and Bassani mufflers. Only had the car a few hrs but man Im loving it!! Next up some better tires!! Is it just me or does anyone get traction in 1st or 2nd! and a radar detector too cause Im gonna get myself into trouble with this fine piece of american muscle!! Just wanted to say thanks to all the advise and answers to prev question I have posted here in the last few weeks.

Thanks

Sounds like an awesome car!!!!!! can't wait to see it.

Life is not just a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming: WOW.... WHAT A RIDE!!!

American Racing type 69 wheels: 18x9 front, 18x10ís rear.
Toyo 255x45x18 front tires, Pirelli 295x35x18 rear.
SLP Loud Mouth One exhaust.
Tons more check out my profile...

I love the new Challenger! It's a heavy boy though. That GT500 must be amazing!

Some wider/stickier tires will help you stay planted to the ground.

I know D/R's are probably best for traction but what other tires are pretty good too? Im looking for something that will give me decent dry traction as well as wet traction.

thanks!! Im already making my "wish" list of goodies.. mainly suspension cause of that horrible wheel hop!! Thinking either Eibach springs or the Ford racing set.. also BMR panhard rod... then eventualy UCA's. Then comes tires.. any suggestions of tires.. Im not looking for D/R's right now.. Im thinking KDW2s. Also going with a 18x10 rim in the rear. Anyone know whats the optimal tire size to run for traction??
