It is not the shifter, it is the trans. The 1-2 shift (syncro) is the issue.

Picked up my car yesterday 12/6 found out that the new clutch out of the box was crap. They bled the clutch f/4hrs. Picked the engs. brains out of Detroit for 2 days. By accident 2 clutch assembly were sent. So they pulled the trans out again, removed the new clutch and reinstalled the other new assembly and wa-la. It goes into 1st and reverse now with out strain. The car runs smother down the road. ( less vibration ) Found out that the new ( bad ) clutches pressures springs were bent, new f/the factory. Now it hooks up even stronger than originally. ( Believe the clutch was bad f/the start ). Took the wife out to get Packs dogs and she even noticed the difference in traction . And a big plus, the burnt smell of metal grinding is gone . Yaaaaa the new car smell is back. Thanks to Ben at Kistler Ford in Toledo Ohio for all your persistence in getting my shelby fixed . ATTA BOY. Haven't power shifted, the roads are to cold f/hooking up ( temp 32 -36 degrees ) wont be driving my baby until spring, snow is in the fourcast . Still feel the shifter is a big piece of crap and plan on installing a mgw. Still agree w/others that the syncro's in 1st & 2 made in china are crap. probsbbly will go to Taska Ford in the spring f/the tranny issue. Hope this helps anyone.
On the tranny issue does anyone have a ford fix it ###. if so, what may it be? o
Or a phone ### or e-mail. Thanks for your in-put in advance.

Had to rebuild my tranny at 600 miles for the 1-2 shift grind. No other issues.

Wink Common issues

1,SRT8 Challenger/CamaroSS owners seem to be mad as hell from seeing Shelby taillights and lettering.

2,Tons of people will love your car wherever you go.

3,Every gas station you fill up at someone will ask you all about your car

4,It feels/sounds like an old school muscle car every freakin time you fire it up

5,Play Van Halen 1 and you swear to god your 17 again

6,All past and present Mustang owners will give you props.

7,Anyone who loves AMERICAN muscle cars will fiend over your car.

So those are the cons of ownership :kooky:

Aside from the 1-2 shift issue its a truly awesome car.

I agree on the the top ten f/Letterman. Add to your list is . Having your sexy blonde hair beautiful wife / girlfriend looking bodacious sitting in the passenger seat when you stop at an intersection, and having on-lookers drool over the whole package. What a rush :kooky:
