Unhappy 2008 Shelby GT500 Kenne Bell supercharger - fail safe mode

Hi there,

I am new on this forum. I am looking for a help. Since I installed a 2.8 KB supercharger with 75 mm throttle body and custom tune car oftem falls to safe mode. DTC codes are P2104 and P2111.
Here is what I did :

1) Asked for new tune - still same problem
2) Checked TPS + voltage, throttle body, actuator motor - all ok
3) Checked supercharger installation, clean intake, MAF sensor - all ok

Now I am on the end of suggestions. I have idea, that headers are not heat insulated - actuator motor is very very hot... Can it cause wrong function of actuator motor ?

I already asked for price for new PCM, but this is a last point.

Please help. Any advice or tip will appreciate.

You need to contact Van at Revan Racing. I had the same problem with failsafe mode with similar KB set-up with Kooks LT's. He found my intercooler temps high on a datalog, burped system and fixed, then I got a tune from him (Jon Lund) and problem fixed!

Hi fcettner, thank you for advice. Cooling is not a problem I am running Afco dual heat exchanger and C&R high capacity radiator. Problem was a PCV valve - I have to did some tests and bought small filters for PCV valve circuit. I have figured out a proper tire rev. limiter and set via SCT tuner. Right now it looks like well, car is running without problems so far...
