What's the difference between the Navigator 5.4L, and the GT500 engine?

Just curious....anybody here dig into them? I found a recycler locally that has the Navigators frequently....I've been pondering on getting a used Navigator engine for a down-the-road project. Or why not, stuff one in my GT ?

Have fun

Looks like the biggest difference (besides the blower, of course) would be in things like heads, pistons, exhaust, things like that. Hmmm If I ever tear my F-150 up, I might just have a project in mind for its motor, lol

Yea...I've looked at that wiki page a couple of times. I'm guessing, it'd be safe to assume that a forged GT500 crank would drop right in? Or are the journals different sizes? I guess I'd cross that bridge when I get to it. Just VERY tempted to get a Navigator block....either for my future project. Or for my 05GT.
