Hi Deysha, If you escalate to JODY, don't bother she has not returned my phone calls after I informed her that I took my car to the dealership and had the service tech RE verify the lockout. This was done @ 3k miles and just recently on Sept 10 2012.
They ordered a 2nd gear synchro. Period.... NO 2013 Clutch, No Shifter, and no Trans
Kit. I'm not leaving my car with them for a week or 2 while they tear down my trans
to figure out what parts are bad when they know what parts need to be replaced and can have them and the 4 special tool there waiting. Why cant you give them authorization to order these parts?
FORD knows what parts are causing the problem. I've given them the list and PMed it to you Deysha.
The 2007 2009 TSB is for GT500's that have the NODULAR FLYWHEEL. The flywheel overheats and causes it to warp and thus causing the CLUTCH to drag, resulting in damaged synchros. There is a TSB for this. My dealer is telling me that I have a 2010 with upgraded parts and we need to tear it down to figure out whats wrong. This is wrong on so many levels, they know whats wrong, its the authorization they are waiting for.
I've heard that there is a TSB forthcoming for the 2010 -2012. No one wants to acknowledge this or is there any truth to this?? The 2010-2012 are locking us out of the 1-2 and 4-5 shift under spirited acceleration.
Other GT500's owner have had these parts replaced with good results. Can I please get some help from some one who knows about this issue, The ISSUE was verifyed by a qualified service tech on SEPT 10 @ Gary Smith FORD. I just want them to order the parts and special tools so I don't have my car sitting at the dealer for 2 week or more.
