My 2011 was doing the same thing and I think it's what the owners manual says about "do not change gears while tires are spinning or transmission damage could result" I started backing out of the throttle for split second to make sure tires aren't spinning when shifting into 2nd and it never did it again but sucks that u have to wait to shift not a very productive way to win a race. Lol

I'm interested in the TSB too. I've had mine to different Ford dealers and it's always my fault. ???

Deysha

WHO IS THIS DEYSHA speaks of, My dealer is telling me my car had all the required parts that fixed thew 07-09's TSB.
I want to know is FORD GOING TO COME OUT WITH A TSB FOR THE 2010-2012 1-2 SHIFT.
Mine has been to the dealer, they want to open up the tranny without ordering any parts when FORD engineering knows that the clutch , shifter and synchros need to be replaced.
I would like to speak to DEYSHA.

Well, hello Spectre500!

Im Deysha with Ford Service. Since your dealer seems to be doing their part, let me get this escalated and help get this resolved for you. Please, PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number so I can escalate this for you to the Customer Service Manager for your area.

1-2 3-4 Lock Out

Hi Deysha, If you escalate to JODY, don't bother she has not returned my phone calls after I informed her that I took my car to the dealership and had the service tech RE verify the lockout. This was done @ 3k miles and just recently on Sept 10 2012.
They ordered a 2nd gear synchro. Period.... NO 2013 Clutch, No Shifter, and no Trans Kit. I'm not leaving my car with them for a week or 2 while they tear down my trans to figure out what parts are bad when they know what parts need to be replaced and can have them and the 4 special tool there waiting. Why cant you give them authorization to order these parts?

FORD knows what parts are causing the problem. I've given them the list and PMed it to you Deysha.

The 2007 2009 TSB is for GT500's that have the NODULAR FLYWHEEL. The flywheel overheats and causes it to warp and thus causing the CLUTCH to drag, resulting in damaged synchros. There is a TSB for this. My dealer is telling me that I have a 2010 with upgraded parts and we need to tear it down to figure out whats wrong. This is wrong on so many levels, they know whats wrong, its the authorization they are waiting for.

I've heard that there is a TSB forthcoming for the 2010 -2012. No one wants to acknowledge this or is there any truth to this?? The 2010-2012 are locking us out of the 1-2 and 4-5 shift under spirited acceleration.

Other GT500's owner have had these parts replaced with good results. Can I please get some help from some one who knows about this issue, The ISSUE was verifyed by a qualified service tech on SEPT 10 @ Gary Smith FORD. I just want them to order the parts and special tools so I don't have my car sitting at the dealer for 2 week or more.
Thank you

If Ur waiting for a true TSB to show f/Ford up good luck, Don't hold Ur breath.

#1 - Buy MGW shifter f/ MGW $ 400.00
labor to install shifter $ 150.00
#2 - Drain original trans oil ( labor ) $ 50.00
#3 - Install Ford Duel Clutch Trans oil $ 100.00 4-qts
#4 - Install either a FRPP SS Clutch Line $ 220.00
or install a Heck SS a line for $ 70.00 ?
F / Evolution Performance
#5 - Labor to install Clutch line & Re-fill $ 80.00

Now I can POWER SHIFT - ANYTIME I WANT - (WITHOUT )

ANY GRINDING . The Monster is finally fun to drive. ANYTIME !!

Hope This Helps. This is what it took f/my 11 to shift w/o the

WOT - BOX = Only masks the problem ,doesn't fix the problem.

What he said!! I gave up on Ford. They won't fix the problem. They told me "it is shifting as designed".
So we had a different dealer install the MGW shifter. Much better but not perfect. I will change out the ****** oil in the transmission next spring (winter is coming and storage is in the cars future). I will change out the clutch line if I feel it is required. All I can say is I'm glad I did not get the extended warranty. If Ford would not fix the car under the regular warranty, they sure as hell will not fix it with the extended warranty.

The 1>2 shift is admittedly a problem when talking to a Tremec professional at the 2016 Barrett Jackson Auto Auction. The TR6060 is used in the GT500s, Camaros, and some Dodges, and Tremec says they all have the problem. I had mine rebuilt under warranty at a Phoenix Dealership but that did not happen until laughed out of other dealerships because of the same comments you heard. Anyway, according to Tremec, the dealership fix did not work because they use the same syncro-assmebly and second gear part numbers that came with the original build. The fix is new part numbers supplied by Tremec but the dealers will not use them. I am getting mine redone again by the local TR6060 specialists for $1200.00. It seems very wrong, but I need to make that shift, period! All the manufacturers that put the TR6060 in their performance vehicles need to recall and correct the problem. It is a matter of ETHICS, not to mention pride for their product.

This is the Fix I had the same issue and the WOT BOX has taken care of all of it,Shiftier isnt required but I went with the MGW gen 2, just remember to check off the box for the N2MB rev limiter to cut in before the factory setting, if you hit the factory limiter it will close the TB on ya as its programmed that way from ford and will take 2-3 sec to recover it will have a dead pedal feel.
