Angry 2016 clutch issue,... 8300 miles

My clutch started slipping yesterday, no warning, no weird smells.. I don't race, never tracked the car, never tried line lock, and only have 8300 miles on the car. Had it towed to the nearest Ford dealer. The service guy calls me and said if there is any wear at all, it won't be covered.. WTF. Really? 8300 miles for a clutch? Hoping when they check it out I'm covered, but if not... anything at all I can do?

IMHO, take a bit of a deep breath and wait for the inspection results........when they refer to wear, it's typically the clutch disc.....not the pressure plate........they are required to check for improper clutch operation by the driver or abuse.......and that's usually very distinguishable between excessive (unexplainable) wear, or component failure vs abuse by the driver.
