I get the 'need for speed', and smoking some guy at a stoplight is nearly a rite of passage. But for top-end stuff, keep it to the track. Out on the road, doing 100+ mph, you can't account for road conditions, people changing lanes, or even animals. There's no way you have reflexes fast enough to handle what real life can throw at you.
The 'fun' afforded by going fast isn't worth serious injury or loss of life, either for you or for other people on the road.
