Hey guys,
I got a base s550 GT and wanted to buy a Magnaflow Catback exhaust, but is too pricey at the moment, however, I noticed that the 2013-2014 5.0 catbacks are slightly cheaper.
Is the 2011-14 gt catback compatible with the S550 gt?
What about the long tube header, are they compatible as well?

Thanks

The cat back system isn't going to fit without significant modification.

The headers will bolt to the engine fine but other items like the location of the steering rack, crossmember, firewall and other items won't be the same. The collectors may hang too low or they may not clear the floorboards of the car.

My question is "why do you want to change...there is not flow increase, etc ..... nor is there really anthing such as a "high Flow cat" in the aftermarket world..............

Here's a link to a "Real Test" that verifies....on a700+ hp engine......no gain or loss of with or without the cats!

Under federal regs………up to $2,500 for modifying any emissioncontrol device….and lets face it, for the few hp (if any) you will gain byswitching to “high Flow Cats”, that $2,500 can buy a lot of real performance!

Straight from the EPA's page and the Federal law trumps statelaws, it might pass emissions but ever get a cop with “wanting a reason” foryou and you can get hit pretty good.
