Arrow The 2015 Mustang Orders Thread

I am going ahead and creating this thread while I am thinking about it. For those who have been around awhile this is just like the threads we had for the previous model years in the 2011+ Talk section. This will be Deysha's new home after the 2014 thread closes.

2015 Mustang Production and Ordering Info

Came across this the other day:

2015 Ford Mustang Production, Ordering Schedule Revealed

I spoke with my sales consultant and he said those dates sound pretty accurate based on what they've been told by Ford. They were told they could expect their first '15s on their lot sometime in the month of October.

Do testers get preproduction models? Or will we have to wait until late summer/fall for reviews and performance data?

Who else is ordering a 2015 Mustang?

I am buying one.

I am waiting for my dealer to get back to me on the price. It's everything that I wanted in a performance Mustang.

I like the design, and I like the performance options. I want all of them.

My 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 3:73 Brembo car will need a new owner.

Not a chance. If anything, I'd buy a 13-14 Coyote or GT500 if I could afford it. For now, still loving my slow and older 3V.

I'll probably be in for a lightly used 17 GT350/GT500 or what ever they call it. Jury is out on if I trade in the 11 or just start a collection.

I am right with you! I am ordering one the day the banks open, which is hopefully the 13th. I love the changes ford made to the engine, interior, and suspension. The exterior is good too. I'll have to see in in person to decide whether I like it better than the 13'-14' exterior but regardless it's still a great looking car and they fixed all the issues I had with the older models except for the clunky 2 piece drive shaft. I am also waiting for the price to be released!

2015 mustang GT, Performance Pack, Recaro seats, All-weather floor mats.

Ordered: 5/20/14
VIN received: 10/16/14
ETA: 12/11/14
Delivered: 12/10/14

I think I am in. Waiting on pricing. If it's going to be a $40K deal, I don't know that I'm going to do it, as much as I like them. May have to buy a hold-me-over until the 15s depreciate a bit.

The other possibility is that Ford will allow a guy to order a V6 or EB4 car that's a good driver. If the price difference between that and a GT is $6K to $8K like I think it may be, then I may have a different sound track in my future.

This might border on blasphemy but here goes...

I love my Mustang as much as the next guy, but I AM NOT a Mustang or Ford loyalist. The '15 is very interesting to me and like everyone else I am intrigued. But as someone who owned a 71 Cuda ~15 years ago, my heart strings are pulled (very hard) by the upcoming Challenger. If someone offered me a chance to choose a classic mustang or Mopar, I honestly do not know which way I would turn.

I grew up in a Pontiac household and those roots are deep. Had that division not been killed off I might have a Firebird in my sights, assuming GM did not go all freaky on its styling like the Camaro. Seeing the new, modern HP war that is brewing it is sad that Pontiac, Plymouth and yes even Mercury and Olds were killed off because I'm sure they would have been players too.

That said, both the Mustang and Challenger ore on my radar, but realistically, the 2016 MY. And unless paying for a car is play money for someone, who would even consider buying a car from a photo alone? I look forward to this fall, and a couple of rounds of test drives are in my plans.

Ingot Silver ∙ Charcoal Black ∙ Auto
HIDs ∙ Security ∙ Comfort Package ∙ Remote Start
Koni STR.T shocks/struts ∙ Roush DUB springs
