Exclamation Ladies and Gentleman, Please Read Before Posting Further about the 2015 Mustang

We seem to have already established that there are many who love the new Mustang.
We seem to have also established that there are many who do not.

That is fine, no in fact that is great that we have a diverse membership that are able to think for themselves. Both sides of the issue have very valid points as to why they like, or do not like the new Mustang. I encourage that both sides to keep sharing their views.

Now, here comes the but:

It is absolutely in no way, shape, or form, for one member to attack another member for their views on the new Mustang.

Examples:

post# abc123: I really hate the way the front end looks just like a Fusion, its the ugliest thing to come from Ford since the Pinto.

post#abc124: I disagree, Joe, I like how Ford has stepped up and extended their brand identity to the new Mustang-and wow that interior is awesome, its the best looking car ever in the universe.

post#abc125:

Wow that is the dumbest thing I ever heard (etc etc etc)

post #abc126: Well you have absolutely no taste op-anybody who doesn't bow down to the new car obviously doesn't care about Mustangs (yada yada yada)

Obviously the first 2 posts are acceptable, the following 2 are not. It doesn't have to be a direct attack to be considered one. Its just as bad to say "anyone who doesn't like the new car is just butthurt because they bought older ones and they are idiots anyway" as it is to say "Joeblow, you are a moron, you have no idea what you are talking about, only an imbecile would like the fusion front end (yada yada yada).

And unfortunately for ME I get to decide if an attack has been made or not.

I have been letting a few things slide the last two days hoping everyone would get this unease out of their system and then we would go back to normal, which has been pretty good the last few months. Well no more-from this post forward I am going straight to points, no more warnings. Yeah, I know that's going to make me about as popular as an NFL ref throwing the flag for roughing the passer because a defender breathed in the general direction of a QB's head. It sucks to be me, I guess.

So to reiterate: Attack the post, not the poster.

Thank you for reading, that is all.....

Good on you. Someone has to keep some sense of order around here. I know everyone has opinions and if we can be civil to each other ,we all love Mustangs, then we can be adults about our personal views without attacking anyone.

True, that's why I called him out...

NOTE: I never did do a check to see if we had a Joe Blow as a member here. If we do, then ooops, I didn't mean it.

Subjective. Two fanbois arguing over asthetics is about as productive as two blind dudes arguing over which hollywood actress "sounds" the hottest (we all KNOW its scarlett johansson).

Very true. But as you personally found out during the old knockdown dragout MT-82 battles back in 2011 those two blind dudes usually had a way of dragging everyone else into the fight with them and then all sorts insults and attacks ensued. I seem to remember you getting busted for fights that you did not start, but got dragged into by others. Isn't that what drove you off back then to begin with? That and the fact that you sold your car because Ford didn't fix it? (not knocking you for that, just an observation).

Yeah, I'm the new Mod, but I'm not new here. Don't let my join date fool you either, I lurked for many years before I signed up (I didn't have a Mustang so I had nothing to add before then).

I'm not about to let this section degenerate into what that had become a few years ago.

I got knocked around pretty hard (very hard, insulted, infractioned and even banned) but in the "other guys" defense, I egged on or even started a few of those battles. I was CONVINCED that 1 out of every 3 or 4 owners would end up having major problems, and im man enough to admit that while the problems have lingered, my predictions were more dire than the reality turned out to be.

I think what you are referring to was the argument that "its the drivers fault" being flung at those of us with problems. Completely ignroing the fact that guys like me (for example) had a 2005, a 2010 (not just jsut one, but TWO 2010s) and a 2011...

Also ignoring the fact that the car drove like a DREAM above 50 or 60 degrees. I suppose their big "logical ah ha!" was that i had some rare medical condition called "cold clutch foot" that affected the driver when the temperature dropped. I looked it up in the medical books but couldnt find it.

"The rest of the story" played out like this: I wanted a boss but it had the MT82 also. I looked at shelbys for a couple years (still look at them once in a while) but not in the budget. Considered a 12-14 automatic but decided to wait for the redesign.

I have pretty much resigned myself to getting an automatic in the next go around, ill never touch an MT82 manual again on principle. Im now "ok' with being the old dude with an automatic mustang.

THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS! It´s not an easy task at all what you do.

There are several of us that actually lurk many of the sub-forums because we either own or just like other Mustang generations, and this site is for ALL Ford Mustangs, and sometimes its insulting to read some posts.

All of us are entitled to our opinions and to like or dislike whatever, but that doesn´t mean attacking others or posting "hate threads"
