Question Black Box Recorders....

Really shocked no one is talking about this under the radar factory installed option. In the event the airbags are deployed the system automatically records (many different parameters) 30 seconds prior to the accident. Meaning bluetooth, microphone, gps, mph, rpms, etc. etc. State authorities will be getting access to this information. Possibly soon insurance companies too. Real quick way for Ricky Road Racer to end up in jail with no future insurance possibilities... LOL Big Brother is watching in 2015.

We have hashed out the "Big Brother State" here a few times. The possibilities are out there. All an insurance company has to do is read the OBD II and say the car was being operated illegally and was the cause of the accident. That will save them millions of dollars annually. Hope that day will never happen, we have enough litigation going on as it is now.

1964.5 convertible and a 2012 Sterling Grey GT. 100 hp. and 412 hp. Go Bama, Roll Tide! 2015 National Champions! Clemson put up one heck of a fight!

There's a bill making, or was making, its way through the California legislature that would declare that black box data the property of the vehicle owner. As such any authority or other party wishing to obtain the data would need the owner's permission. I've lost track of the progress of this proposal but I think it was headed to appear on the California ballot as a proposition. If it does, read it carefully and vote that the owner retains this data.

Some information here indicates a rather weak law was passed, didn't realize it was so old:

Ventura, CA
2013 GT Premium Brembo
MGW, Blow Fish, AM Hood Struts
Tinted, Borla Touring AB, ProCal Tune
Full Shelby/Kicker Audio Upgrade
