The good old Ricer vs Muscle debate

I got into a rather entertaining debate with a import fanatic on youtube. I'm sure you've all been here before.. But I found this last one to be absolutely comical.

He was ranting about how American cars are junk and slow. Here I come on high ho silver to save the day.. The 2015 Mustang GT Premium fully loaded will run around $43,000. It has 435HP and will run a 12.9 or so on the 1/4 mile. It has Navigation, side impact, Heated and Air Conditioned Seats, and a ton of other amazing options. What if ANY Japanese or Korean car manufacturers produce a Grand Touring that can run a 12.9 on the 1/4 mile for less then $45k and be as well equipped?

He comes back claiming the Evo 8 can. Uh an Evo 8 from the factory will run a 13.7 at best. Never mind the fact that it is not even remotely close to being as well equipped.

It's a 8 year old car and slightly modified it would smoke your mustang.

We are not talking about modified vehicles here we are talking about stock from the factory.

Your mustang is still a piece.

Here comes the name calling.. You can't name any cars because none exist.

You're a moron. I'm not going to waste my time talking too you.

So does anyone know of any imports similarly priced that can beat the new 5.0's?

The key is "slightly modified". I know some imports can be fast but they run very high compression from bigger turbos ect ect
