Hardwiring Escort Passport 9500ix radar detector underneath mirror
Hey guys. I'm pretty new to the forum and just got my 15 convertible gt premium about 3 weeks ago. I had an Escort Passport 9500ix radar detector from my previous car, and now I've had it plugged up in my mustang. The problem that I'd like to get rid of is the cable stretching from the windshield all the way down to the cigarette lighter port (or whatever it's called).
I've seen other people (in different cars) with their radar detectors attached to the bottom of the rear view mirror. I'm not quite sure how this works and have never fooled around with anything like this.
Does anyone know if this is a pretty easy thing to do with the '15 mustangs? I'd like to go this route, especially since it's much cleaner, but I have absolutely no clue as to where to even start.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
