[QUOTE=Blazin72;7568105]People complain that they don't like the 2015 Mustang because "it doesn't look like a Mustang" yet people also don't like the 2016 Camaro because "it looks too much like the old one", which was more popular than the S197 by the way.

Manufacturers just can't win, can they?

Can't please everyone.

The balls have hit the fan.....watch 2015 Mustang monthly sales drop 15-25%. I predict that the 2016 Camaro will bring the Chevy bowtie fanatics out in mass and restore Camaro as the monthly sales champ. The "Force" is again with the Camaro.

I am a Mustang fan but I have to agree with this. Chevy has won this round 16 Camaro vs 15 Mustang. The 16 Camaro is better than the 15 in every single way. Smaller, lower weight, more HP/better engine, 10x better interior. Wish I can say the same thing about the 15 Mustang.

My Junk POS MT82 and tens of thousand POS mt82 survived TWO winters. How can it be? It's suppose to whine and grind all winter!!!! I love troll myth

When I bought my Mustang, I looked at the Camaro. I actually love both, go figure. But, I did not like the Camaro's hideous dash layout. It looked horrible and the control layout was just mindless. The Mustang just "fit". I took one look at the center stack and I could easily identify everything without having to actually read the little labels.

Fast forward to now, well they definitely cleaned-up the center stack. The SS gets magnetic ride control and the Corvette's rev matching with the manual. The Cadillac ATS has gotten rave reviews regarding its chassis dynamics, which should carry over to the Camaro. That sounds like a winning combination.

I'm still not a fan of 20" wheels, standard on the SS.

This interests me..

They are only going too produce a turbo charged 4 banger, a V6 and the SS.

I'm curious what the price point is going too be for the SS. If the SS is not priced competitively to the Mustang GT, I don't think it will do well. If the SS is not equipped competitively, when compared too the GT I don't think it will do well.

If you have $40k too spend on a vehicle and want a Camaro badly but can't get an SS for around $40k with similar options as the GT then why buy it? I personally would opt for the GT over SS every single time in that case.. Even if the SS is slightly faster if it is not with in $3000 or so of the GT I'd be buying the GT. Some people might spend another $10k for the SS.. But once you're in the $50k range for an SS you have too compete with the GT350.

After looking at pictures of the '16 Camaro I am underwhelmed. The big gaping grill in front just looks like a lot of boring plastic. GM is good at using stupid amounts of plastic (Avalanche). Frankly, I think the 5th gen looks better. GM also admits to making the rear seating area smaller due to the smaller platform. Industry standard for sports cars I guess. It's reported that interior quality has improved. If it didn't involve improving visibility then they missed the mark, again. Performance should be close to or better than the Ford with the V8, but it seems they are down quite a bit on HP with the base model compared to the Mustang. Puzzling. A 2.0 compared to Ford's 2.3 seems strange to me given their penchant for "cubic inches solves all" mentality.

Not terribly thrilled with the 2015 Mustang or the 16 Camaro. Big fan of the 13-14 Mustang. The modern Camaro never did excite me.

It will be quicker with the same weight and more hp and torque but who drives a Camaro or a Mustang and leaves it stock. Gm has restrictions on their ecu's and you can only tune it so much, not the case with the mustang ecu...need i say more?

2016 Ruby Red GT/CS 401a automatic with 3:55 gears, bone stock, but not for long!

GM's are junk, old technology, lousy interiors, push rod engines, patch jobs, and GM & their network of crooked dealers don't stand behind their product. I had a late model Camaro and dealer / GM wouldn't do squat to honor warranty / address complaints. I ended trading it much to my relief. I will NEVER own a GM product as long as I'm alive. My 13 GT500 has been flawless so far, don't know about the 15 yet, haven't test driven it yet.

I like my 2011 GT with Brembo brake package. But I test drove 2015 with track pak yesterday hugh difference with the ride. Not fan of extra stuff they pack in them now but 11 had bunch of things I don't use either. You know GM always up the power hoping it will make them sell remember ole wedge shape camaro's

The only modern Camaro that made me say "oh, that's pretty cool I guess", is bumblebee from the transformers movies...and you know that one was custom done. I'll give Chevy deserved props for the IROCs, but it's like they put their dumb dumb beer drinking helmets on and that's where all the years following designs/builds came from. You have to know how to build good motors before you start talking about taking down the king...which would be the Mustang...

2008 California Special: Boss 302 stroker, KB huffer, driveline, fuel, electronics, suspension, chassis, some outdoor pretty parts, Boss 338's i.e. nothing really left that's stock. Meth injection under construction. Tuned by Chris Tuten at The Muffler Shop.
2012 California Special (DD): Minor modding, just looking for sound, throttle response, and handling from this one, nothing fancy. Tuned by Steeda.

HooticusMaximus:

Don't let your ego and devotion to the Mustang get in the way of common sense.

The Camaro beat the Mustang and took the sales crown from 2010-2014. Before you start beating down on the Camaro you need to look at the stats. Overall, GM did a great job on the Camaro in 2010 and its sales numbers back up that fact.

If I recall correctly the only year the Camaro beat the mustang in sales was 2010+2011, that being said 2013 and 2014 mustang is back on top and with the styling redesign for 2015 I would bet mustang is still the better seller.
