Thatís great, I heard somewhere that all dealers have allocations for the different cars and if the order is placed and the dealer has no allocations at the time, then the car/truck ordered does not get scheduled to be built until they get their allocation.

So in my case, perhaps their allocations for Mustangs was gone and my order from early April sat until early June (when they got their Mustang allocation).

Not sure, if that is what caused the two month delay. Looking back one odd thing that happened to me was they did not ask for a $500 up front deposit when I ordered the car. So perhaps they knew that the car wasnít getting built for a while and no sense holding onto my money.

But glad that your Stang order came in as quick as it did

I thought the allocations were for inventory orders, not customer orders. I have ordered three cars from this dealer and a 1/2 dizen from other dealers the shortest wait was 6 weeks and the longest was 10 weeks.

I know with my 17 Mustang i sat with the order manager as he entered my order. I left with a confirmation of the order from Ford.
