2020 EcoBoost Convertible MSRP is $1320 less than 2019
I thought this was interesting and wanted to share.
Today I went to a Ford dealer to order a new 2019 Mustang EcoBoost Premium convertible - could not do it. Too late, they won't take new orders anymore.
And they could not order a 2020 model. Weird in between model time. Sales Manager explained he just now (last week) placed three orders of 2020's for the Order Bank.
They did share two doc's I attached. "2020 Mustang Major Product Changes" and "Order Bank Preview" with MSRP and my option pricing.
MSRP on the 2019 is $38,505 and the 2020 is $37,185, over $1300 less. The MSRP on the 2019 was $1000 more then the 2014, about $200 more over the five years.
I'm curious how Ford would explain the reverse trend of price increases. Over three percent price reduction in one year is huge. Almost makes up for the, sure to be less then the current $2000 rebate on 2019 models.
