Wet sanding help needed

I recently repainted my pony wheels silver again. Since I had to paint at so many angles, i noticed a little over spray on some of the inner parts of the rim. What would be a good grit to wet sand the rim to remove the over spray and give a nice shine to the rim. Also any tips would be appreciated since I've never wet sanded before.
thanks

Garage
Why not mask off the inside of the wheel and just spray it the same color?
Otherwise wet sand with 1500.

wet sand with 1000-1500 use water and soap mix in spray bottle. keep it wet. then rub some polish on it or use a power ball or power cone(works wonders) with polish. will give the shine you are looking for
