Just powder coated my wheels

A local guy did them for me, $50/ wheel, gloss black. And I replaced the factory spinners with plain black caps. :shiny:

Yeah he did a nice job. He has a small oven and he showed me where one of the wheels was not treated to the correct temperature so developed some crinkle in it instead of a nice gloss, so after they cure he'll polish that out for me no charge.

That's cool for him to stand behind his work... not a lot of that around these days...

I'm glad that I found him. He's planning on expanding his shop and we're planning to barter services. I've got a lot of work to be done on my '64 TBird and he's going to need a building and site designed.

Did you just have them powder coated or did you sand plast them too? I have a set of 18x9 and 18x10 that I want to get powder coated. Your car looks good with the black rims!

All I did was clean them. All other prep work was by the tech. Not sure if he sandblasted. Probably not.

Okay thanks I'll just have to ask my local shop that powder coats, and see what they recommend.

Looks good! I've been considering that for my wheels, too. How far are y'all from Statesville?
