1996 mustang 3.8L clutch problems?

i am having problems with my clutch , it is a 1996 ford mustang 3.8 liter manual and it just hit 100 thousand miles. the clutch is starting to give out and is making horrable noises when clutch is engaged .

can someone please tell me my problem ?

100K's about the max lifespan of a clutch, with conservative driving habits. you'll likely need a full clutch job (clutch, pressure-plate, TOB, pilot bearing, machine/replace flywheel, check input shaft/pivot/fork, perhaps replace cable / quadrant).

The noise you hear (when pushing the clutch pedal in) is probably the TOB (throwout bearing). The transmission has to be removed to replace it, so at 100K you may as well have the rest done while it's out.
