1999 mustang high rpms and smoke from engine
rpms go up to 3000 any time i press in the clutch to switch gears and when i'm in neutral and most of the time i'm driving they stay up
today as i was waiting to pull out from a parking lot my car began to smoke and it stunk badly. This is the second time it's happend in the past week or so and when it started to smoke it didnt say that my engine was over heating. Could the high rpms be causing my engine to smoke?? I really dont know what to do at this point.
I was told that i may need to change my air contrl motor but upon reading many similar issues to mine, it seems that the problem could be anything and I cannot afford a mechanic. I pretty much live pay check to pay check and iw ant to try to figure out how to fix this on my own - please, any advice would help.
