oil leak how bad you think it is

got a 2000 mustang v6 137,000 miles on it. i have an small oil leak. it looks like its coming from the camshaft positioner i think its called and the valve cover gasket. i noticed when i did my tune up there was some oil on my 2nd and 3rd spark plug. how serious do u think this is . how do i know its not from a cracked head gasket? the car drives pretty good only has some minor vibration and hesitation at 40-50

oil and gas leaks should never be taken lightly. If you have one deal with it. could get worse and maybe lead to other problems.

could be a head gasket problem i would check there first.

If you're plugs are oily on the outside, it is usually a valve cover gasket. you can try tightening them down about a half-turn, or they might be loose......

I don't think it's the head gasket it's defintaly the valve cover gasket I'm going to try to tighten it this weekend but it seems to be leaking some where else too. It's a real slow leak I can't even notice it I just saw the oil when I did my tune up
