My new mustang...

Hello everybody, i just purchased my first mustang (2003 v6 3.8) with papers in hand, the guy sold it to me because he claimed he didnt have the money to fix the fuel pump, after installing a new fuel pump i had realized that the anti theft system was activated, does anyone know how to reset this without having to take it to the dealer and paying an arm and a leg? any tips would be much appreciated, thanks!

I did a little research and this is what I found. It's worth a try. Let me know if this works.

1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Insert a coded key that is programmed for the specific Mustang.
3. Turn the ignition to the "ON" position. Do not start the engine. Leave the ignition in this position for at least four seconds to give the computer time to recognize the coded key and reset the device. The "Theft" indicator turns off to indicate that it has reset.

Play hard, Rock harder.
