1995 Mustang V6 Idle Issue

hey gotta 1995 3.8L that consistantly idles super high, talking 2200 when i start her up and continues to raise and drop rpm's while driving on a regular basis, this also causes the temp gauge to fly all over the place but i think thats a coolant backflow problem. lots of little problems with her if anyone has advice it would be greatly appreciated

Check/clean your IAC for a possible solution to you poor idle.
Are you sure your coolant was properly refilled, using the bleed port to relieve any air? This could cause your coolant issues.
