MAF size and compatibility

Does any one know the stock MAF sensor sizes (in MM) for a 96' 3.8L Mustang and a 96' 4.6L Mustang GT.

I have upgraded my son's 96' V6 with 19# injectors and I'm wondering if the GT MAF is bigger, and if it will work with the computer/wiring harness without modification and the 19lb injectors that I installed. Is the sensor the same? Can I use the sensor from the V6? Is it a direct replacement or will it still need to be tuned?

He is on a budget and prefer not to pay for a new aftermarket sensor.

Thanks in advance for you technical assistance.

Why was there a need for the 19# injectors? What other mods are you running to require those injectors?

96 GT = 80mm
96 V6 = 70mm

Sensors are different calibrations. Can't swap injectors without a tune.

MAF or injector swap is pointless and you will gain nothing unless there is serious mods done to the car ported heads, cam, split port swap, etc
