Pinging issues any ideas?

I have blocked off the PCV entery to the intake and it seems to run better and i just left the vavle in place in the valve cover, is this ok to do? and why should it run better this way?

pinging??

Why would it run better? The PCV valve closes when you accellerate. Removing the vacuum hose stops your crankcase from breathing. you will have built up gasses in your crankcase that will be flamable. But whats that got to do with pinging??

i was told that i may need to replace the pcv valve to stop the pinging and i replaced it and no luck , I then just blocked the intake port that the valve connects to and left the valve cover open and it seems to run better?
