?

Could be bad or dirty switch or check and see if you have a resistor pack in the system.

Don't know if the newer cars use them but the fox and older had a reisitor network between motor and switch that controlled voltage to motor. if one of the three reisitors went bad only one speed would work.

Between my kids and I, we have three Terminators and two four eye Fox. Torch red 10th, zinc yellow 03, Mystichrome 04 droptop, silver 82GT and blue 86LX. We may soon be adding '11 GT500 for my wife.

its most likely the blower motor resistor, get a haynes repair manual and itll tell you exactly where it is

Resistor

Usually mounts on front under panel where wiring enters heat/cool unit.

Fan switches usually fail normally closed. High speed is normal, the lower speeds add resistance to the load.

had the same problem a few months ago. Was suprised when I was inspecting the narrow vacuum hoses in the engine compartment back top. replaced vacuum hoses and no more problem. Might have resolved contributing unrelated issue but fixed is fixed. Doesn't hurt to inspect anyways. What other symptoms do you have on the fan? Only blow out the dash too?

if the speed of the fan is the problem then its usually electrical and most likely the resistor
