Cai help!!!!

Ok here is the deal i bought a CAI from american muscle and i was following the instructions on the website and came to a problem. There instructions say that the breather by the Mass air flow sensor needs to go on top of it not inside but the breather isn't big enough to fit around and there isn't anyway to stretch it. I decided to just stick it inside of it but i want to make sure that isn't going to cause any problems with the air. Do i need to call them and tell them the problem and ask for a bigger breather or will it be fine the way it is? Please help me
I will submit a picture later of what i mean

Just play it safe and call them, before something goes wrong and you can't exchange it, Mike.

Garage
Any rubber hose can be placed in hot water to make it pliable enough to expand quite a bit to fit over a larger piece of tubing.
