TURBO/SUPERCHARGER questions

hey, i have an 02 v6 mustang. ive been wanting to add power, and i find the best way is by going all out and getting either a turbocharger or a supercharger.
What i want out of the car is basically good "off the line" acceleration, and if im cruisin on the highway and gun it, it goes like hell.
can anyone help me out in deciding on which setup to get ?

Turbos will have lag time unless you do a boost launch, the best setup for the V6 would be a supercharger. Check out Procharger, Vortech or paxton, they are the industry standard. Powerdyne use to make a SC kit but Im not sure they stil continue for the V6. Any power adder questions feel free to ask we have a turbo tech here that can answer most anything.

1) are you still under warranty?

2) off the line acceleration is best accomplished by gear changes. Unless you switch to a T-bird Eaton SC combination of heads, SC Unit, and intake, neither a centrifugal, nor a turbo unit will help you as much as gears.

guys have been seeing bigger gains in power with turboes with the v6. I would rather run a turbo hands down over supercharging it.

im pretty sure my warranty is over, so i wanted to add more power. i like the turbocharger because i heard people saying it generates more power than supercharger at same boost levels.

my question is, does anyone know how much boost you can run on a turbocharger on stock internals, and what are the important parts needed to be changed/protected once a turbo system is installed?

12 lbs with intercooler,

you need a forged rotating assembly from a Supercoupe engine, and forged pistons, etc.

you can contact rpm-mustangs.com moranav6racing.com or supersix motorsports.

Or purchase a short block from SCCOA.

Turbos are a different animal with different demands on internals.

Even "low" boost turbos hit the valvetrain hard. SC is most reliable with stock internals.
