Gas gauge

I was checking the gas mileage for my 97 Mustang and I noticed that the gas gauge is not very accurate, I have more gas than the gauge indicates. Has anyone else noticed this problem? Also, does anyone know why Ford didn't put a low fuel warning light on the gauge cluster?

I have a 96, and I also dont get a low fuel light...

As for the gas guage not being accurate, I dont seem to have a problem with mine (I havent run it out of gas yet, so i dont know exactly how much i have in the tank at any one point.

Also, instead of my gas guage, my Tach doesnt report things very accurately (except in neutral and the 1st and 2nd gears). It doesnt report any additional throttle when in 3rd and 4th gear, but it does proceed up the scale as it should.
