Changing Brake Pads?

Ok i need do change my front pads on my 98 v6 this weekend, but i dont know what tool i need to get the calipers off. It almost looks like large allen or hex head. Can any one please tell me what tool i need? Thanks.

we just use some vise grips, clamp down and turn. wait on a 98...Im not sure, could just try an allen key and see if that works.

All you need is a 12mm socket and a ratchet.

a 12mm socket and a ratchet? when i looked at the bolt on the caliper, i thought it looked like a round head with an indentation in it for a allen or hex wrench....the reason i ask is because i need to change my pads, and i dont have any tools at the appartment im in so i need to buy the tool and i dont wanna buy the wrong one.
