Question Turbo PSI Question

Hey guys what up, I had a question, its totally off the subject of V6 tech but nobody seems to know the awnser. So here it is, my friend has a supra and he said he had a turbo thats pushin 20PSI!!!!! is that possible? oh ya he says it has 350 Hp

Of course it's possible. You have to have a built bottom end to handle it, though. I've seen cars push as much as 50-60 psi. These are drag race only cars but it is possible.

For a Turbo 20psi is the norm.

no, it's not! it's usually between 6-12 psi.

20 psi is usually for dedicated race vehicles.

Yea, and a built Supra with that much horse would have 1000+ horse.

These days 20psi on a 4 cyl is really not that much. You could easily run that on the street with 94 and a good tune. My 347 has 32 to 34 psi but it is on 116 octane.

yeah, but those are inline engines, and that's not OEM, except for a FEW special edition cars with handbuilt engines (SRT).
